Mesotherapy with PRP

Before and after images of a patient who has undergone a combined treatment of platelet-rich plasma, capillary mesotherapy with medications and topical and oral drugs.

Hair Mesotherapy consists of the application of different substances such as:

Medications (minoxidil, finasteride, dudateride).

  • Medications (minoxidil, finasteride, dudateride).
  • Vitamins (biotin, vitamin C, B, B5, folic acid, thiamine, retinol, etc.)
  • Minerals
  • Trace elements (zinc, copper, magnesium).
  • Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma treatment is a type of hair mesotherapy. It is a regenerative treatment that consists of combating follicular thinning and subsequent loss caused by dihydrotetosterone. This is possible by the extraction of blood from the patient that goes through a centrifugation process, in which the platelets are broken releasing the granules containing the growth factors into the plasma (65 units per granule)

As with drug mesotherapy, it is produced through injections with PRP. Both therapies can be combined, because they seek to avoid thinning and hair loss: one with growth factors and the other with anti-hair loss drugs and vitamins and trace elements.

How is Plasma obtained?

It consists in the extraction of blood from the patient, it is centrifuged, from there the plasma rich in platelets and growth factors is obtained, helping to strengthen the hair follicle, stop hair loss and stimulate hair growth.

It is a minimally painful treatment and the duration of each session is around 15 or 30 minutes.

The benefits are those already mentioned in the rest of mesotherapy treatments, in addition to:

  • Counteracts the negative effect of free radicals and prevents the aging of our cells
  • Provides lost nutrients

This type of technique is especially recommended for:

  • Patients with excessive hair loss
  • Lack of volume or density
  • Adjuvant in the treatment of diagnosed alopecia
  • As a preventive treatment to care for and maintain our hair health.

Can the two mesotherapy treatments be used together?

In the union is strength, so the ideal is to combine both therapies since they have completely different mechanisms of action and one is in addition to the other. With the PRP we will achieve a much more rejuvenated hair, but if we also directly infiltrate the roots with vitamins, we will enhance hair thickness and stability in the medium long term.
